Project timeline

The project will be implemented step-by-step, starting with the expansion of Prof. Adow training centre in Galkayo, followed by establishing a centre in Jowhar and later in Baidoa. This is done in order not to overstretch the capacities of the PMO, ensure quality and allow for a quick start of training. Like the project as a whole, the trainings offered will follow a step-by-step introduction of number of trades as well as number of modules on different training levels. This allows for adaptations to be made on the way that might be needed due to security issues, local specifics and other factors.

A part from general project management, the following activities shall be carried out in the implementation phase of the project, structured according to outputs:

  TVET+ Project start-up (Sep 1st)

• 2022

  Crowdfund 1st solar projects in Galkayo

• 2023

  Prof. Adow upgraded to full TVET+ service hub

• 2024

  Opening of 2nd TVET+ center in Jowhar

• 2025

  Opening of 3rd TVET+ center in Baidoa
